Info on our Waitlist Application Process
We are currently accepting waitlist applications for all properties for the upcoming ’25-’26 leasing term. At this time, we do not have an availability list to share, however, we usually have around 450 different styles of units that will be available for Undergrads, Graduate Students, and Single/Professional/Families.
Exact move in dates per property will be updated later in the Fall (around mid-October) once we have completed our renewal process with our current residents. We do have the future rent rate on our website. All wait list applicants will receive a priority call for properties they are interested in and given the first opportunity to lease. Calls will be made in the order the applications were received by date and first choice of property listed on the application. How to get on the waitlist:
- Click here to download our rental application.
- The waitlist application allows you to list up to three specific communities, properties, or areas in which you are interested in renting. This would be listed on the line titled “preferred community”. Please list your choices in order of interest.
- You are only required to complete one waitlist application per group (if roommates are applicable).
- Email, Mail, or Drop off the waitlist application and $65.00 application fee ($25 application fee for current Townside residents).
- You may submit the application over email to rentals@townside.com or in person at our office located at 220 Professional Park Dr., Blacksburg, VA 24060.
- Your $65.00 application fee ($25 application fee for current Townside residents) can be paid in person, mailed with a check/money order, or paid online through Venmo (@townsideproperty). Your application will not be processed without payment.
- Expect a leasing agent to reach out by early November 2024.
- Leasing Agents will begin to discuss and show properties after we have finalized all renewal leases with our current residents.
- Agents will begin with Undergrad properties first and then move on to single/professional/family style housing. For example: November - December working with undergrad clientele and late December – February non-student style rentals.
- When an agent reaches out, they will offer you 2-3 properties from the preferences you indicated on your wait list. You will be able to secure any of these properties at that time, however no holds will be put on properties if you would like to schedule an in person showing.
